Voor een bezoek aan Rusland moet je een visum en een uitnodigingsbrief aanvragen. Voor alle andere landen die je passeert heb je dit niet nodig. Dit zijn namelijk allemaal EU landen.

Om een visum voor Rusland aan te kunnen vragen heb je het volgende nodig:

• 1 origineel paspoort (minimaal nog 6 maanden geldig na afloop visum)
• 1 originele pasfoto
• 1 visumaanvraagformulier (100% uitprinten) getypt of alles in 1 goed leesbaar handschrift ingevuld,
• In- en uitreisdata moeten overeenkomen met uitnodiging
• uitnodiging/ visa support letter
• verzekeringsbewijs. De verzekeringsdata moeten overeenkomen met de data van de uitnodiging of langer. Je moet namelijk extra verzekerd zijn voor je reis naar de Russische federatie.

Voordat je een visum kunt aanvragen heb je een uitnodigingsbrief ofwel visa support letter nodig. Deze kun je ook via dezelfde link aanvragen. Ik beveel echter aan om dit te regelen via Vladimir Ivankiv in St Petersburg, die vervolgens ook een plaats in de haven reserveert, de douane informeert over je komst en alle overige lokale zaken regelt die nodig zijn voor een verblijf van een aantal dagen met je boot. Deze man is bekend met de Nederlanders die naar St Petersburg zeilen en regelt de zaken uitstekend. Gewoon leuker dus en hopelijk praktischer. In june 2013 I will sail with my boat, a friend and my son to St Petersburg. We hope to arrive there somewhere in July and visit St Peter for about a week.

Ingrid told me that you can arrange an invitation letter and other arrangements like a place in the harbor and informing the customs about our stay.

My questions are if you can do that for us, when we need to do what and what the costs are for you.

Very good to hear from a friend of Ingrid! I will certainly be glad to help
you arrange your visit to St.Petersburg this coming summer. 
To apply for your visa(s) at the Russian Consulate you need visa invitation
papers issued by an authorized company.  
To arrange with the invitation I need to know the following: 

1. Dates of the Visit(earliest arrival-latest departure); 2. Full
Names(according to passport); 3. Dates of Birth; 4. Passport Numbers; 5.
Nationality; 

To arrange the arrival/departure formalities and make a berth reservation I
need to know the following: 

1. Boat`s name; 2. LOA, Breadth, Draft; 3. Registration number; 4. Colour of
the Hull; 5. Number on Sail(if any); 6. Call Sign; 7. Engine Type and
Number; 8.Home Port. 

It would be useful to have your mobile number so I could contact you on
arrival if any urgent need arises. 
The invitation fee is 25Euro per person.

If you need a guide I would be happy to be of help. My summer rate for a
guided car is 25Euro/hour. Tickets to Ballet/Opera/Concert/Folk Show can be
booked in advance to your specific requests. 
I am going to be quite busy first week of July, the rest of July is much
easier.
